Application/Admission Policies

Application to the School should be made as early as possible, since space is limited. Students are admitted to the School in July of each year. The application process begins in February and is completed by July for the Fall term that starts in September.

Processing of Applications

Each applicant is evaluated on an individual basis. Applicants are accepted on the basis of average or better achievement in high school. A class rank in the upper two-fifths is desirable. After all application materials (including the pre-admission exam) are received by the School of Nursing, and provided the applicant has completed all academic requirements, a formal interview will be scheduled. An ad hoc committee of the Faculty Organization (hereinafter referred to as the Admissions Committee) meets regularly to review and evaluate all applicants. Within one week, applicants are informed by letter of the decision of that committee. This committee reserves the right to select only those applicants who demonstrate evidence that they will be able to fulfill all of the requirements and meet the standards of the School of Nursing.
