Program Objectives

Upon completion of this program, the graduate will:

  1. Utilize the nursing process when providing for the comprehensive, physiological, psychological, socio-cultural and spiritual needs of the client.

  2. Incorporate Watson’s carative factors in meeting the needs of the client.

  3. Create therapeutic relationships with clients at various developmental levels to reach optimal wellness.

  4. Collaborate with the healthcare team to improve quality of life for individuals, families, and communities.

  5. Apply ethical-legal principles in managing the care of clients.

  6. Exemplify professionalism in the management and delivery of safe client care.

  7. Demonstrate self-direction, motivation and responsibility for professional growth.

  8. Function as a beginning professional nurse in a variety of healthcare delivery settings.
