| Scholarship Eligibility
Currently, we accept students in our 20-month RN nursing program under one of the following conditions:
- Full Tuition Scholarship – Scholarships will be granted to a limited number of applicants that meet our admissions criteria. Scholarship applicants must be a U.S. citizen or possess a permanent resident card with clearance through the U.S. Department of Immigration and Naturalization Services (student visas do not apply). Applicants must score at least 85% or above on the ATI (TEAS) Pre-Entrance exam and 50% or above on the ATI Critical Thinking Pre-Entrance exam. Those who qualify and accept must also agree to work for Pittsburgh’s Ohio Valley General Hospital, as a full-time RN for three (3) consecutive years after successful graduation.
- Partial Tuition Scholarship – Scholarships will be granted to a limited number of applicants that meet our admissions criteria. Scholarship applicants must be a U.S. citizen or possess a permanent resident card with clearance through the U.S. Department of Immigration and Naturalization Services (student visas do not apply). Applicants must score at least at 75% or above on the ATI (TEAS) Pre-Entrance exam and at least 50% or above on the ATI Critical Thinking Pre-Entrance exam. Those who qualify and accept must also agree to work for Pittsburgh’s Ohio Valley General Hospital, as a full-time RN for two (2) consecutive years after successful graduation.
** Please note, despite scholarship eligibility criteria being met; scholarship availability is limited and scholarships are granted on a first come/ first served basis.
We also accept students that are not interested in Full and/or Partial Tuition Scholarship(s), as the following:
- Self-Payers – Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status with the U.S. Department of Immigration and Naturalization Services. These applicants must score at minimum 65% or above on the ATI (TEAS) Pre-Entrance exam and in the 50 percentile or above on the ATI Critical Thinking Pre-Entrance exam. Self-paying students have no work commitment to Pittsburgh’s Ohio Valley General Hospital after successful graduation and may utilize all sources or Student Financial Assistance (Federal/State grants or Stafford loans) to assist with tuition charges.
Although test scores are a major indicator of scholarship eligibility, it is not the ONLY criteria for acceptance. All applicants must meet ALL admissions criteria as outlined in the informational packet, in addition to test scores for determining acceptance and eligibility into the program.
