Cafeteria
Visitors may eat in the Hospital's cafeteria, located on the first floor near
the elevators. The cafeteria is open 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6:30
p.m. A vending area is open at all times on the first floor near the Emergency
Center.

Chapel & Pastoral Care
The chapel is located on the third floor of the Hospital and is open at all times for the spiritual comfort of patients, their families and visitors. To arrange a visit from the pastoral care department, comprised of volunteer personnel from all religious denominations, call extension 6228.If you would like your pastor or minister to be contacted by the Hospital, please inform the nursing service office at 6228.
Holy Communion is provided for Catholic patients daily by eucharistic ministers
from various parishes.
Volunteer pastoral care visitors will occasionally stop by during your stay.
Call extension 6228 to make arrangements.

Gift Shop and Snack Bar
Open Monday through Friday: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Gift Ship features magazines, newspapers, cards and gift items, as well as
coffee, cold drinks, sandwiches and light snacks.

Medtrans Van Service
Transportation is available for those who need health care services and have
no other alternatives for transportation to and from home. The sites served are:
Ohio Valley General Hospital, the Wound Care Center, and the Primary Care Center
in Robinson.
Service is available Monday through Friday. Pick-ups begin at 7:15 a.m. and the
last departure is at 3:00 p.m.
Call 412-777-6924 to schedule a ride to an Ohio Valley General Hospital Facility. Rides must be scheduled at least ONE DAY in advance.

Newspapers
You will find a selection of daily and Sunday newspapers in the Gift Shop.

Parking
Free parking is available for visitors in front of the Hospital and in parking
lots near the main entrance. Daily bus service is also available. Check at the
Information Desk for bus schedules.

Smoking
To protect everyone's health and safety, Ohio Valley prohibits smoking in all
areas except for patient rooms where patients have a written order from their
physician indicating that not smoking would cause psychological harm. In these
cases, smoking will be limited to private rooms and cannot take place in bed
or patient bathrooms.

Valuables
Leave all jewelry, large amounts of cash and other valuable items at home. Bring
just enough money to purchase newspapers, magazines, or other small items. A
safe is available if necessary.
